Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Nothing creates a more romantic image than feeding your valentine a chocolate-covered strawberry. Hand-dip fresh strawberries in quality chocolate and set on a decorative plate near the champagne. Heat desired chocolate over low heat or in a double boiler. Dip strawberries and cool on a rack with a pan underneath to catch the chocolate drippings. Let cool completely or put in fridge for faster cooling.
Red Roses for Valentine’s Day
Red roses symbolize love and passion and are a true, romantic Valentine’s Day gift. Give a dramatic arrangement of a dozen red roses. The extra-romantic can give one rose for every year the couple has been together. Or, give a single, red rose in a surprising way. Leave it on the seat of her car as she’s leaving work or present it to her as she walks in the door at the end of the day.
Chill a Bottle of Bubbly
To help set the mood on a romantic Valentine’s Day date night, have a bottle of chilled champagne ready to go. Set an end table with a red cloth, an ice bucket filled with chilling champagne and two, elegant champagne flutes. For an ultra-romantic touch, sprinkle rose petals over the table.
A romantic Valentine’s Day takes a bit of pre-planning, but these traditional touches will set the mood for the whole evening. Create a romantic Valentine’s Day fire with red roses, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.
